To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he has engaged with the OPW in respect of the delivery of a children’s science museum in view of the fact that his Department is the record holder of files associated with the project; if he will provide copies of the files and records referenced (details supplied); and if he has or will be funding the delivery of this project. Since its establishment in 2021, my Department has had no role in this matter.

My Department has not provided funding for the development of a children’s science museum and does not have resources assigned to support it. Neither has my Department engaged with the OPW in respect of the project.

Officials of my Department have reviewed the paper and electronic files available to them and to date have not identified a record of the kind referenced by the Deputy. I have directed my officials to continue to review this matter and to update the Deputy should relevant information be identified.
