The decision on eligibility for a student grant is a matter, in the first instance, for the centralised student grant awarding authority SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) to determine.
An official from my Department has advised that the student outlined by the Deputy was issued a letter by SUSI on 25 October 2024 requesting additional documentation. On receipt of the requested document, the application will be reviewed and finalised. SUSI will contact the student directly by post with the final decision on their application.
