110. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment further to Parliamentary Question No. 137 of 15 October 2024, if he expressed views on the policy options that are being presented or discussed by the Global Solidarity Levies Taskforce on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in September; and the reason Ireland did not join the taskforce. The Global Solidarity Levies Taskforce hosted a meeting for its Members, and other interested parties, on the margins of the UN General Assembly in September. The meeting was an opportunity for the Taskforce to present and highlight its work and plans to date and I attended the meeting to hear more about this. I did not express views on the different policy options set out.

Consideration of Ireland's membership of the Taskforce is ongoing.
