Section 159 of the Local Government Act 2001 provides that each Chief Executive is responsible for the staffing and organisational arrangements necessary for carrying out the functions of the local authority for which they are responsible. Therefore, I have no role in relation to individual employment contracts. In all instances, personnel with queries in relation to their employment terms and conditions, including the payment of allowances, should contact their employing authority.
