To ask the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 285 and 286 of 18 September 2024, if her Department has ever used artificial intelligence in the preparation of response to Parliamentary Questions; if her Department is aware of Government-approved interim guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in the public service, published in February of this year; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department and its officials do not presently use AI to generate official text.

My Department recognises the potential offered by AI and is aware of the Interim Guidelines for Use of AI published. My Department will continue to assess the suitability of AI on a solution by solution basis.
