My Department is currently undergoing an Organisational Capability Review (OCR), which is being carried out by the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform. The review will focus on the areas of leadership, strategy and policy, delivery capability and business support functions. It is anticipated that the report and implementation plan arising from the review will be put forward for Government approval in early 2025.

In addition, my Department operates a planning framework which seeks to prioritise the delivery of strategic objectives and develop strong support structures to ensure effective implementation. Forbairt, the annual statement of priorities, is part of this framework, and offers a roadmap for delivering the strategic and operational priorities outlined in the Statement of Strategy 2023-2025, particularly in the context of ongoing reform. This serves to assist my Department in managing the pace and sequence of change, and to enable the demonstration of, and report progress on reform in the sector. Quarterly reports on progress in achieving the actions identified are published on Gov.ie
