The Project referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter my Department’s pipeline of school buildings under the Additional Schools Accommodation (ASA) Scheme for the provision of 3 Classroom Special Education Needs Base. This project has been devolved to the delivery body Limerick Clare ETB.

In Q2 ,2023 upon completion of a Stage 1 review, combined comments issued to Limerick Clare ETB outlining issues with the cost and design on this submission. A revised Stage 1 submission was requested, and the Design Team were advised that it was necessary for them to take into consideration the comments of my Department officials when preparing this revised report.

In Q4 2023 my Department received a revised Stage 1 submission however, the revised design was not in keeping with my Departments guidelines. Additional comprehensive comments issued to the Limerick Clare ETB with guidance for the Design Team to revisit this element of the report and resubmit a revised Stage 1 report.

It is now with Limerick Clare ETB and the Design Team to progress this project in line with my Departments guidelines.
