My Department is committed to supporting the horticulture sector, the fourth largest agriculture sector in Ireland, with a range of initiatives and supports.
The full year costs of the supports are not available in advance of year end, therefore the scheme budgets are provided in the tables below.

* Aid for the EU funded Producer Organisation Scheme for fruit and vegetables is based on approved eligible expenditure capped at a percentage of the PO’s turnover (VMP) and is paid retrospectively.
Maximum possible aid that could be granted to Irish Producer Organisations in the Fruit and Vegetable Sector is estimated at €9,347,639 for 2024 and €10,942,470 for 2025.
