The first ever Ireland House in Chicago will be located in the Equitable Building on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s commercial district. The fit out of the premises is currently under way.

A competitive procurement process was launched in March 2024 to identify a building contractor to undertake fit-out works for the project.

Tender documents were issued to six general contractors, pre-qualified according to the following criteria:

  • Years in business;
  • Project experience at 401 N. Michigan;
  • Governmental or Counsel Project experience ;
  • EMR Rating;
  • Existing or pending litigation within the past 5 years.
Responses were evaluated against the Scoring Methodology Award Criteria as set out in the Request for Proposals. Three companies were shortlisted and interviewed.

The successful contractor was Clune Construction.
