94. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport further to Parliamentary Question No. 161 of 23 July 2024, if flight paths off the north runway which are currently in use are deemed planning compliant, despite the fact that the outcome of the ‘north runway relevant action’ planning application is awaited, as indicated in the reply from the DAA; if it is not the case that the flight paths are, in fact, not compliant unless a positive decision is made in that regard, the way in which planning compliance is monitored and enforced in the meantime; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I would like to advise the Deputy that I have no function in relation to planning and enforcement matters which are matters for the relevant planning authority. Planning authorities have an obligation under the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) to investigate complaints of alleged breaches of planning permission.
