I wish to inform the Deputy that the Agriculture Appeals Office operates independently of my Department.

I have been informed that the Agriculture Appeals Office received an appeal from the person named on 13th August 2024.

I am further informed that the Agriculture Appeals Office has received the statement on the grounds of appeal and related documents from my Department, and the appeal has been assigned to an Appeals Officer.

I am assured the Appeals Officer will shortly be in contact with the farmer with a view to arranging a date for the oral hearing.
