Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) is a commercial state body, established under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. RCÉ is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

I last met with the CEO of RCÉ on 24th July 2024. The issues discussed were financial performance and budgetary matters, integrity and welfare, capital projects and corporate governance.

While I have no immediate plans to meet the CEO in the near future, officials of my Department maintain ongoing and appropriate contact with RCÉ at all levels across a wide range of issues including those mentioned above.
