SARS provided external security to the Department of Social Protection in 2023, and until 30th September 2024 when this contract expired. Since 1st October 2024, my Department has contracted Synergy Security Solutions to provide external security. No payments have yet been made to Synergy Security Solutions, and the current contract will expire on 30th September 2026. There are options available, at the discretion of my Department, for two twelve-month contract extensions thereafter.
