The stocking of Oughterard hatchery is carried out by IFI with the required Ministerial authorisation under Section 14 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act 1959, as amended. Any associated activities are monitored by officers of Inland Fisheries Ireland to ensure compliance with all relevant conditions of any licences issued.
