367. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the quantity in tonnes of grain, such as maize, soya, wheat, and barley, that were imported into Ireland in 2023; the countries whence the grain came; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38931/24]

The tillage sector is an important and integral component of the Agri-food industry producing high-quality grain for the food and animal feed industries. The sector also produces straw for feeding and bedding. Nevertheless, there is still a significant demand for imports of animal feed and the feed grain imports are as set out in the table below:
