My Department is also in the process of recruiting additional Senior QS staff in order to maintain access to the necessary expertise required by the Planning and Building Unit to implement its extensive capital programme.

The Department has recently run a joint competition with the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science for Senior Quantity Surveyors via the Public Appointments Service. Arising from that competition, it is anticipated that the number of Senior Quantity Surveyors employed by my Department will increase as candidates are appointed from that panel.
