The Large scale capital project at the school referred to by the Deputy is at an advanced stage of Architectural Planning Stage 3 - Tender Action and Award.

The project brief includes the construction of a new 27 Classroom Junior National School with 3 classrooms for children with special educational needs and a General Purpose Room on the existing site.

The next stage of Architectural Planning – Stage 3 will formalise the appointment of a contractor to build the new school, and construction can then commence.

During Stage 3, my Department were in contact with the school when milestones were reached during the Tender Process – at Letter of Intent Stage and approval to proceed to Award Stage. When this project progresses to the Letter of Acceptance stage, further contact will be made with the school authority.
