81. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of tickets that were sold for the Dublin Bus ‘hop on, hop off’ services in 2022, 2023 and to date in 2024; and the amount that Dublin Bus has spent on replacement of these buses for these services in 2023 and to date in 2024, in tabular form. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
Further, the Dublin Bus ‘hop on, hop off’ service, is a commercial bus service and responsibility for the operation of the service is a matter for the company. I have, therefore, referred the Deputy's question to Dublin Bus for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
