171. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the status of the Irish film channel, which was intended to be established by the Broadcasting Act 2009; and the steps taken since the passage of that Act to bring this channel into being. [38388/24]

The 'Where to Watch' platform is operated by Screen Ireland the State Body with responsibility for the development of the Irish audiovisual industry.

This platform, launched in 2022, is designed to help audiences all over the world discover where they can watch Irish film, selected TV dramas, animated works and documentaries both at home and in cinemas anywhere in the world. Users can browse for Irish screen content and discover live cinema listings where they can book screenings of the newest Irish films in their local area - or watch old favourites at home with available streaming and on demand platforms in their country.
