To ask the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence to publish declassified reports that were reported in the media (details supplied) on 18 September 2024 in relation to the Glen of Imaal blast on 13 April 1979 that resulted in the loss of life of three children, with ten more seriously injured. I propose to take Questions Nos. 8, 9 and 10 together.
Given the passage of time since these tragic events, and in light of litigation cases which where I am advised confidential to the parties involved, I have requested my officials to examine the Deputy's request and report back to me with a recommendation on same. Upon my consideration of this awaited report, I will revert to the Deputy directly.
