To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the total number of freedom of information requests submitted to her Department in 2022, 2023 and to date in 2024; the total number of such requests that were rejected in their entirety; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the table below:

I am advised that the majority of requests that were refused were done so on the basis that the records being sought did not exist in my Department. Such requests were deemed as refused on administrative grounds in accordance with Section 15 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014.
