While my Department is responsible for the legislation underpinning the Disabled Parking Scheme, the day to day operations of the Scheme fall within the remit of the designated issuing bodies, the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) and the Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI). As Minister for Transport, I can neither intervene in nor comment upon any individual application.
I suggest that the Deputy raise his concerns directly with the issuing body concerned.
