As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy, overall funding in relation to public transport, and corporate governance of transport agencies including the National Transport Authority (NTA).
The Deputy's request for the estimated full year cost to increase the number of WTE NTA employed taxi enforcement officers to 50, is an operational matter for the NTA. I have therefore forwarded the question to the Authority for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
