257.To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of times in the last five years that the escalator at the entrance of Connolly station has failed to function and the cost of repair call out fees to remedy in each instance, in tabular form.[35051/24]

As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.

The issue raised by the Deputy in relation to the escalator in Connolly Station is a matter for Irish Rail. Therefore, I have referred the Deputy's question to Irish Rail for direct response to the Deputy.

268.To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the reason a disabled traveller had booked an Irish Rail ticket two days in advance, they were allocated a seat in the carriage closest to the locomotive engine and farthest from the platform starting-point and a carriage without any additional disabled space, as is not the case with the first carriage; and if he will make a statement on the matter.[35127/24]
