As Minister I have worked and continue to work hard to deliver funding for the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors and to support the income of our farming and fishing families.
The funding I have negotiated over the last four budgets is supporting farmer incomes while also supporting the sector’s environmental ambition and on-farm sustainability. This funding also provides key supports and vital infrastructure to support the development of our fishing sector and coastal communities.
Officials from my Department and I are engaging with my colleague the Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform and his officials on the 2025 estimates process. Further details on supports for the sectors listed by the Deputy will be announced on budget day.
