I can confirm to the Deputy that under the second National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development to 2030, my Department is inviting applications for funding from recognised schools for projects that support the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development in primary or post primary schools.

The National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development provides a framework to support the contribution that teachers and students are making, and will continue to make, towards a more sustainable future at a number of levels: individual, community, local, national and international.

Grants of between €1,000 and €2,500 are available to schools. Total funding available under this call for schools in 2024 is €600,000.

Details are available online at: www.gov.ie/en/publication/02952d-national-strategy-on-education-for-sustainable-development-in-irelan/#esd-to-2030-funding
