523.To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if there will be a provision of special education classes in a planned extension for a school (details supplied); if in the meantime prefab accommodation will be provided for special education classes as has been the case for mainstream classes in this school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.[34179/24]

My Department can confirm that there will be provision of special education classes in the planned extension for the school referred to by the Deputy.
Given the challenges of this school site, my Department continues to engage with the school patron to advance the provision of required accommodation at the school, including for the facilitation of special classes. These discussions are ongoing and include consideration of both potential short-term and long-term solutions.
