The school referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter the Department’s pipeline of school buildings for a project to provide 2 Classroom SEN Base. The project has been devolved to the school authority for delivery.

A Stage 2B (pre-tender) report was submitted. This submission required clarification and additional information was requested from the school which needed to be reviewed.

The project forms part of our overall pipeline and each project’s progression to the next stage is done in the context of the management of the overall capital programme in compliance with the Government’s Infrastructure Guidelines. All projects, including this one, undergo the necessary due diligence outlined in the Public Infrastructure Guidelines. Managing timing, scope, and cost is crucial to staying within budgetary limits for the overall program.

I am pleased to confirm that the review of this project has been completed and the project was progressed to the next stage (Tender) in August 2024.
