Budget negotiations have begun between officials from my Department and the DETE Vote section in DPENDR. I can confirm that negotiations are ongoing and details of the Department's 2025 budget will be set out on Budget day and in the Revised Estimates Volume that will be published subsequently.

There is currently no provision made for the increased cost of business scheme, or any other such temporary business support scheme in the expenditure base in any of the years 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029.
