The Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the maintenance of arterial drainage schemes completed under the Arterial Drainage Acts, 1945 and 1995, as amended.
The location concerned forms part of the Ballynaclogh Arterial Drainage Scheme. The OPW Annual Maintenance Programme for 2024 includes maintenance in the location concerned and it is intended to have this maintenance completed by the end of December 2024. The embankments are due for mulching between September 2024 and March 2025.
Full details of OPW's 2024 arterial drainage maintenance programme is available on the OPW website at the following link: www.gov.ie/en/policy-information/3cc45-maintaining-certain-river-channels/
