The Revenue Commissioners publish data on a number of taxes on a per-county basis, available at:
www.revenue.ie/en/corporate/information-about-revenue/statistics/receipts/receipts-county/geographical-breakdown-of-net-receipts.aspx
The figures do not correspond precisely to Exchequer tax heads: for example, the Revenue data are only published on certain components of income tax whereas Exchequer income tax incorporates additional sub-headings, e.g. Dividend Withholding Tax, Life Assurance Exit Tax.
The figures are also presented on a net receipts basis, which can differ from Exchequer receipts.
For the Deputy's convenience, the information requested is set out in the table below.
€ millions | VAT (internal) | income tax * | corporation tax |
---|---|---|---|
2023 | 10,652 | 16,443 | 13,150 |
2022 | 9,896 | 15,007 | 11,525 |
2021 | 7,861 | 13,112 | 9,232 |
2020 | 6,378 | 11,119 | 7,328 |
