1973.To ask the Minister for Health the reason the decision has been taken that from 1 July 2024 to reduce the subsidy available from the reimbursement subsidy available for a cataract procedure performed outside the State, under a cross-Border health arrangements, for those who have been on a waiting list for a number of months or years will be reduced from up to €1,900 down to €863. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
