1970.To ask the Minister for Health the rationale for the reduction in funding for patients getting cross-Border cataract surgery which has been halved from €1,928 to €863 from 1 July 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30939/24]

1971.To ask the Minister for Health the number of cataract removal procedures carried out in hospitals in the State for each of the past ten years under different cross-Border health arrangements; the number of such procedures which the HSE paid for in hospital or clinical settings in the north of Ireland or elsewhere; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
