1718.To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if a risk analysis has been conducted to ensure that moving certain veterinary medication to non-prescription will not result in an increase in anti-bacterial resistance and antibiotic resistance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There is no consideration currently being given to removing the requirement for a prescription for any veterinary medicines that currently require a veterinary prescription.

Therefore no risk analysis has been conducted. Antibiotics continue to remain prescription only medicines.
