I can advise that Deputy that the Irish Prison Service continually monitors staffing requirements and vacancies across the organisation, which can arise as a result of multiple factors such as mobility, resignations, promotions and retirements. Recruitment campaigns are launched accordingly.

I can further advise the Deputy that a Recruit Prison Officer campaign is scheduled to be launched in August.
