I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the Public Services Card (PSC) Online Renewal software was upgraded on 31st May 2024.

In June 2024, 7,418 applications have been received following implementation of the software upgrade, representing a 24% increase in the number of online renewals over the same period last year where 5,852 renewals were received.

Over 161,000 customers have renewed their PSC online since the introduction of the online renewal service in March 2021. in 2023, around 70,000 online renewals were processed, with almost 47,000 already received to end June 2024.

In addition, the Department has recently launched a new online service which allows an individual to submit a new application for a Public Services Card (PSC).

I trust this clarifies matters for the Deputy.
