1197.To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of social homes sold through the tenant purchase scheme since 2020, broken down by quarter and by local authority; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33481/24]

The Tenant Purchase Schemes provides for the purchase by eligible tenants of local authority properties which are available for sale under the terms of the particular scheme. All applications for the schemes must satisfy the requirements outlined in the relevant legislation.

Statistical information regarding the number of homes sold under the Scheme, from 2020 until the end of 2023, broken down by local authority area, is available from my Department’s website:
