There have been two meetings held so far in 2024 of the Galway Task Force. This is alongside a range of other contacts that my Department has with both Galway local authorities in relation to a range of issues affecting housing and related areas.
The Chairperson's report in respect of 2023 has been completed and will be sent to the main Task Force participants for review and discussion at the next meeting in September. I have requested that a copy of the report be sent directly to the Deputy when this process has been finalised. The previous Chairperson will not be issuing a further report covering the period of their tenure as the Chairperson issued several reports throughout their tenure covering this time period.
