Through my Department's Multi-annual Developer Provided Water Services Infrastructure Resolution Programme (DPI Programme) significant funding has been provided to local authorities for housing estates that rely on water services infrastructure provided by the developer of the estate (DPI).

The aim of the Programme is to provide funding that assists the local authorities to implement solutions that resolve the DPI issues and in doing so enable these housing estates be taken in charge.

I have approved a request received from the local authority under the DPI Programme to co-fund a project to resolve DPI issues in the estates referred to in the details supplied.

Under the DPI programme and as agreed with the local authorities projects are co-funded - 75% (Department) and 25% (local authority).

The relevant local authority has responsibility to manage and deliver this project to completion as quickly as possible.
