917.To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the number of occasions in 2023 and to date in 2024 on which Sport Ireland withheld State funding from national governing bodies, NGBs, due to breaches of the service-level agreement between Sport Ireland and that NGB; if so, the name of the organisation that had funding withheld; and the length of time funding was withheld from that NGB, in tabular form. Sport Ireland, which is funded by my Department, is the statutory body tasked with responsibility for the development of sport in Ireland, increasing participation at all levels and raising standards, including the allocation of funding to sporting bodies across its various programmes.

As this is a matter for Sport Ireland, I have referred the Deputy's question to Sport Ireland for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to inform my office if a reply is not received within 10 days.
