The provisional allocation in respect of the sports club referred to by the Deputy was made to Dublin City Council under the 2020 round of the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP) on 22 March 2022.

Dublin City Council was advised that before it can receive formal written approval and funding, all terms and conditions of the SCEP must be met and that it must submit the relevant documentation required. This practice is consistent with all allocations under the SCEP.

The most recent correspondence from my department in respect of this matter was at the end of March 2024 and I understand that the relevant material is awaited by my Department. Formal approval will issue without delay once the relevant material is received.
