In a challenging and increasingly competitive environment for FDI globally, the availability of property and infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of investors can be a key differentiator in investment decisions and winning FDI projects.
IDA’s Regional Property Programme ensures the supply of land, buildings and infrastructure in regional locations to attract current and prospective clients to locate in the regions. In this regard, IDA’s current strategy, 'Driving Recovery and Sustainable Growth, 2021-2024', outlines objectives for delivery of property solutions throughout the country.
Under the strategy IDA is progressing the delivery of 19 Advanced Building Solutions (ABS) across the regions and is partnering with the private sector and Local Authorities to deliver further buildings in key locations. Eight of the 19 buildings are complete. The locations and completion date for each of these are as follows:

The delivery of the Regional Property Programme is dependent on a wide range of external stakeholders and FDI client timelines. Furthermore, many factors impact on timelines for the delivery of construction projects including site identification, willing vendors, planning, procurement & a variety of macro-economic factors. Capital-intensive property investment projects by their very nature run over multiple years. In that regard, the construction industry continues to be impacted by global supply chains and cost inflation challenges whole IDA Property Division continues to monitor these challenges and the impact of same on the delivery of the Regional Property Programme. IDA will continue to use its best endeavours to deliver all buildings in a timely manner.
