403.To ask the Minister for Finance the estimated cost to the Exchequer in 2025, and specifically from 1 January 2025 to 1 October 2025, of not proceeding with the scheduled increase in excise duty on petrol, diesel and marked gas oil, respectively, on 1 August 2024. [33233/24]

I am advised by Revenue that the estimated cost to the Exchequer in 2025, and specifically for the period 1 January 2025 to 1 October 2025, of not proceeding with the scheduled increase in the non-carbon component Mineral Oil Tax rates on petrol, diesel and marked gas oil respectively on 1 August 2024 is shown in the following table.
