174. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to indicate the extent to which efforts continue to ensure that Castletown House and the adjacent 250 acres owned by the State, can expect to enjoy free and ready access to the estate and gardens for maintenance and recreation purposes including the maintenance of the house, the protection of the Castletown collection and that the necessary steps be taken to ensure this for the future; if the Minister will ensure that all feasible action is taken to protect the interest of the State and the local community in this issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
