The school to which the deputy refers has submitted 2 applications for funding under the Emergency Works Scheme (EWS). The first application, funding for outdoor play areas, has been approved and there has been further engagement between the EWS team and the school over the tender documentation with a view to finalising the appropriate scope of works to be progressed. In respect of the second application, funding for roof repairs, a revised scope of works and associated itemised cost breakdown (ICB) were requested. These documents have since been received and are under review by the technical area, the EWS team is aware of the urgent nature of these works and will endeavour to finalise consideration of this application shortly and will keep the school informed throughout the process.
