337. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills to provide a breakdown of the current budget allocations for each programme under subhead A9 of the revised estimates for 2023 and 2024 respectively, in tabular form. [29580/24]

The School Transport Scheme is a significant operation managed by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education. In the current school year over 161,600 children, including over 135,000 pupils travelling on primary and post primary services, 19,800 pupils with special educational needs, and 6,800 pupils who have arrived to Ireland from Ukraine are transported on a daily basis to primary and post-primary schools throughout the country.

The breakdown of Original Revised Estimate allocations for each programme under the School Transport subhead for 2023 and 2024 are outlined in the table below,

During 2023, additional Non Core funds were allocated to the Department of Education after the Revised Estimated process, broken down as follows:

Covid: €2m

Cost of Living: €41m

Ukraine: €10m
