An official from my Department has advised that the student outlined by the Deputy was awarded the 50% Student Contribution rate of grant by SUSI for the 2024/2025 academic year, based on their 2023 total household income calculation. The difference between the applicant’s award, and that of their brother is as a result of the applicant’s income from employment for 2023.

The applicant did not declare on their application to SUSI that they had experienced a reduction in their income. However, the applicant may request a review of their application based on a reduction of income. They can do this by emailing the SUSI Support Desk at with the subject line ‘Internal Review Request’ and outlining the details of the reduction in income in the body of the email.
