The Department for Children; Equality; Disability; Integration and Youth’s main switchboard number is +353 1 647 3000. Callers to this number are directed to the appropriate officer within the Department as well as to our Customer Service Contact, Complaints Appeals, Access Officer, Freedom of Information Office, Early Years, National Childcare Scheme, Minister’s Office, Press Office and Data Protection. Calls to this number are not recorded and there are no plans at this point to introduce recording.

This line is a public information line for anyone with questions or who needs help with respect of the legacy of Mother and Baby Homes. Calls are not recorded purposes but the office retains an open mind about recording calls for transparency and training purposes in the future.
