The estimated full year cost of increasing State Pension (Contributory) by €15 a week is €415.8 million. This cost includes a proportionate increase for Qualified Adults. It does not include any cost associated with other schemes paid to people over State Pension Age, including State Pension (Non-Contributory) and Widow's, Widower's or Surviving Civil Partner's (Contributory) Pension.

This costing is based on the estimated average number of recipients in 2024, and is subject to change in light of emerging trends and subsequent revision of the estimated number of recipients.
