Any person seeking to continue their studies on the basis of prior learning should engage with the Admissions Team in the institutions best suited to their prior education experience.

There are two schemes in place to support students to access further and higher education that may be relevant in this case.

  • Student Grant Scheme, and
  • International Protection Student Scheme
Further information is available on the SUSI website ( ).

I am also aware that a number of Irish Universities are responding to individual requests for support as part of the Scholars at Risk programme and University Sanctuary Programmes.
